FAQ
Questions we get asked
The things shop owners want to know before they sign up. If yours isn't here, ask us - a person answers.
30-day free trial. No credit card. Built for independent shops.
Trying it
What the first 30 days look like.
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. You sign up, you're in, and you have 30 days with the whole app. No card, no contract, no call with a salesperson first.
If you decide it isn't for you, there's nothing to cancel and nothing to charge back.
What happens when the trial ends?
You pick monthly or annual at $35 per person, per month, and carry on with the jobs, customers and units you already put in. Nothing you entered during the trial goes away.
If you'd rather not continue, do nothing. We don't have your card, so nothing gets billed.
What kind of company is this for?
Any service company that sends people out to jobs. Tracforce is built around a job, a customer, a site, a piece of equipment and an invoice - which is the shape of service work whatever the trade.
You get Startup, Survey and Service Ticket to begin with, and you can rename them or add your own job types, each with the fields your work needs. Heating and air, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair - if your day is jobs and techs, it fits.
How long does it take to set up?
An afternoon. Add your people, add a customer, and run your next job through it. There's no implementation project, no consultant and no kickoff call.
Most shops start by creating one real job on the phone and go from there.
Is there training, and do I need a consultant?
No to both. If you can describe a job out loud, you can create one - that's the whole idea behind Breeze.
Techs generally pick up the phone app on the drive to the first call. We don't sell training, and we don't charge a setup fee.
Your crew and the job site
How it behaves in a truck, on a roof and in a crawlspace.
Can my techs use their own phones?
Yes. Tracforce is available on iPhone and Android, and your techs can install it on the phone they already carry.
The app locks behind Face ID or a fingerprint, and each person only sees what their role allows. If someone leaves, you turn off their seat and their access goes with it.
Does it work without signal?
It keeps working with no signal. A tech can open the job, take photos, record readings and write notes in a basement or a mechanical room with no bars.
When the phone gets back into coverage, the work goes up on its own. Nobody has to remember to re-enter anything.
What is Breeze, and do I have to talk to her?
Breeze is the AI assistant built into Tracforce. You can talk to her, type to her, or ignore her entirely and tap through the app like normal software.
When you do use Breeze, she shows you a card with exactly what she's about to do and waits for you to confirm. She can only do what your role allows, and she can't delete anything, send email or touch billing.
What happens if the AI allowance runs out?
Every seat comes with a monthly AI allowance. If a heavy month uses it all up, only the AI pauses - jobs, scheduling, invoicing, photos and everything else keep working exactly as they did.
Credits are available if you want to top it back up before the next month starts.
Money
One price, and what isn't on the bill.
How much is it, and is there a minimum?
$35 per person, per month, or annual. One plan with everything in it - there are no tiers to compare.
The owner counts as a seat, there's no minimum and no cap. A one-person shop pays for one person. We don't charge for setup, for training, or for office staff who aren't using it.
Are there extras I'll get charged for?
Service Request QR codes and Google Calendar sync are free add-ons. Inventory and QuickBooks are paid add-ons.
You turn add-ons on and off in settings, per shop. Turning one off never deletes anything you already put in it.
Do you do QuickBooks?
Yes - QuickBooks Online, as a paid add-on. When a job is finished you can send it over as an invoice, match it to the right customer, and include a Pay Now link through QuickBooks Payments so the customer can pay from the email.
It works from the phone, so the invoice can go out before you leave the lot. It runs one way: Tracforce sends to QuickBooks, and your books stay the place your books live.
Can I cancel?
Anytime. There's no contract and no cancellation penalty.
You don't have to call anyone or sit through a retention pitch.
Your data
Who can see it, and where it goes.
Is my data safe, and is it used to train AI?
Your data is not used to train AI. Your shop's jobs, customers and photos belong to your shop.
Access is controlled by roles, so a tech sees their work and not your numbers. Breeze is held to the same rules as the person using her - she can't reach anything you couldn't reach yourself.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
It's kept, not deleted. If you come back in six months, your customers, units, job history and photos are still there.
That also means a slow winter doesn't cost you your records.
